As if weaving through the night
I swayed within a running train
As the scenery flowed backward
I sat alone, just watching and watching
The late afternoon sunlight
Tinged orange by the setting sun
Was crushed by the indigo sky
I followed the last of the light with my eyes
As if I was sad to see it go
Because today is goodbye
I’ve left on a getaway to leave tomorrow behind
I’m going as far as I can go on a one-way ticket
I’ve nowhere I belong, so just leave me like this
Leave me in the night, just leave me
Suddenly I looked out the window and saw darkness
I realized that it must be the sea at night
A sudden impulse took me by the hand, leading me off the train at a seaside town
I walked with the sound of waves guiding me along
As if someone were calling to me
I approached the shore of the sea
I’m all alone
I might just leave my body here, I thought
As I was thinking that
You appeared suddenly
Under the moonlight
Pale skin
White dress
“What are you doing here?”
You ask me suddenly
I was at a loss for words
“To see the ocean.”
You pulled something out
It was an slightly old fireworks set
And that’s when I realized
She was on the concrete
Barefoot
Because I decided to end it all today
Because I brought myself closer to that world
I was able to see her… and we met
And so the two of us
Broke the seal on the fireworks
As I held the fire close to the fireworks that wouldn’t light
You guessed why I was here
And repeatedly told me to stop
“Don’t do it,” you said, with a serious look in your eyes
But…
At that moment, a light flashed at the end of my hand
“It lit!” we both shouted in unison
The fireworks sparkled desperately
As their sharp sound echoed and echoed
I didn’t have time to watch slowly as it faded away
Not wanting to waste it, I chased it with my eyes until the last moment
Just like the last rays of sunlight
That I saw from the train window
I chased after it
After all, I…
Hey, once this night comes to an end
I wonder if you’ll disappear somewhere
I slipped out from the curtain of night
And awoke to the morning light
When I looked next to me, I saw you sleeping by my side
As if it was the most natural thing in the world
