Where was it I just felt pain…?
Every time I try to put my hand there, I lose any sense of it…
A nameless tear falls,
And I lose sense of where my body’s walls lie.
The world is a mirage – threatening to disappear as it sways;
I feel like I might just be sucked in and swept away.
Clinging to the gentle warmth that had built up,
I remained there, trembling.
The sound of life I heard was a bit like that, but different,
Changing to rain that continually pounded my skin.
Beyond my closed eyes, midday stars shined, scattered about endlessly:
Merely individuals amongst the swarm.
Things I found… things I lost… – the things that happened in the city my heart built.
Despite being so alive in this moment, it feels like a lie… so affirm it with the palm of your hand.
There’s nothing here; though I’d held so close,
A shield of words to protect its form.
Nothing remains; though weak, I’d carried around,
A blade of will to cut open a path.
The world is a mirage – a papier-mâché castle:
A fading, yet ever-present living thing.
Thank you – you are the light;
That’s the only reason I keep on going.
The sound of myself I heard had a form I understood naturally,
Becoming a arrow pointing to the truth as it rang out, then returned.
While cowards averted their eyes before realizing what lies in the depths of their mirrors,
Each individual calling for help, taking aim at one another.
The fact I was born… the voice that notified me… I embraced all, endlessly onward;
Still unknowing… still having nothing… I embraced everything with everything.
I wonder if I can do it again like I did that time – those things that happened in the city my heart built;
When I touch how alive I am in this moment, respond in that same way!
Be by my side, don’t go… just smile, and nod.
Be by my side, don’t go… overlap and listen to the sounds.
Be by my side, don’t go… just smile, and nod.
Lead me to touch the nameless tears I’ve just come to know.
Where was it I just felt pain…?
Where are you? You are the light.
