Let us awaken to a happier time
In the moments before we realize it’s morning.
For the moon changes shape each and every day,
Extinguishing the darkness.

There’s no telling whether our many possible futures will be happy or not.
So instead of living in our limited pasts, shall we rise up and choose this moment?

My heart is off floating somewhere.
Maybe within a bad dream.
Memories constantly change form,
Hiding in the sea… dancing through the sky…

What is this limitless lifeforce trying to tell us?
Are we meant to proceed with the waning of the moon? Or turn back?

In a place where the tides and sands form a pool,
The past and future wave farewell.
If water and Earth could overlap
And we could be here together on this glittering beach… I’m sure it would be so pleasant.

If the days are attempting to proceed without time for rest,
Let us choose the faded past as an ally and sleep for a bit.
