My beloved dog Kuru has good manners and follows his owner
He always happily wags his tail
Oh, isn’t his face great?
Whenever you open the door, he comes running up and licks you

Oh, sometimes when we’re sad

We split them between us on our firm mattress
On the weekends, he rides along in the passenger seat
We’re living together, each providing something the other’s missing

My beloved dog Kuru knows a couple that’s close
They didn’t have any children, and that’s when he showed up, they say
And yet, thanks to that, everyone’s happy now
Even now that the beautiful wife is gone

The warmth atop her soft legs
He sleeps deeply so as to remember it in his dreams
