Unable to sleep at night, steeped in my past,
Tobacco graces the air, cloudy white until it disappears.

But I suppose I should be thankful I can even still sigh…
I breathed deeply of these days completely free of obstruction.

I pretty much get how this world works:
It’s filled with unattainable wishes… and God doesn’t seem to exist.

After piling up all my complaints, concerns, and discontent—to see what lies beyond—
What I found shining above this sky… was a dream I’d discovered once before.

Even after nights spent swimming through sorrow,
The morning sun will eventually shine through!
A light that’s far too good
For how tough we act… for how much our shoulders tremble.
I wonder how many times I’ve shouted,
“If this can’t last forever, don’t come any closer!”
But no one even remembers…
I cross this sea at night, alone.

Led along by those things I could see,
I trampled the things I couldn’t.
Never noticing, I kept passing them by.

I just want to remain somewhere inside your heart:
I only wish to occupy a corner of it, so you’ll never forget me…

Even if time moves on,
There were still days we experienced together!
So is it okay if I look back on them now?
I’ve managed to keep moving onward all this time!
But I can never go back to the past,
So I’ll face forward instead!

Sostanzialmente riesco a capire come funziona questo mondo;
È pieno di desideri irraggiungibili… e sembra che Dio non esista.

Dopo aver accumulato tutte le mie proteste, le preoccupazioni, e i malcontenti—per vedere cosa si trova oltre—
Ciò che ho trovato brillare sopra questo cielo… era un sogno che avevo scoperto una volta sola.

Anche dopo notti passate a nuotare nel dolore,
Il sole del mattino brillerà alla fine!
Una luce che è troppo buona
Per come fingiamo di essere forti… per quanto tremano le nostre spalle.
Mi chiedo quante volte ho urlato,
“Se questo non può durare per sempre, allora non ti avvicinare!”
Ma nessuno si ricorda…
Attraverso questo mare di notte, da solo.

Istigato dalle cose che posso vedere,
Avevo calpestato quelle che invece non potevo.
