Being at the point of, “On your mark… get set…”
We imagine our various ideals.
The pistol goes off, and we start to dash –
The beginning of this Run and Run.

Up until now, we’d been looking at the future,
The same way as everyone else.
But by joining hands as we stumbled,
I got the feeling we could go anywhere we pleased!

When we reached a crossroads, we began running for nothing but our own personal race…
Even though we still weren’t really prepared for it.

Crowded out by the flow of time, we’re already standing before that white line:
There’s a course made for me alone… and one made for you,
So get running, and don’t lose your way!

Having branched off like we did,
I wonder if the ends will bud a flower.
I want to see you blooming beautifully-
Those were the kinds of things I thought about.

Unsure how to communicate it in words, my speech faltered;
The word “farewell” is still stuck at the back of my throat.

Before tomorrow comes, there are many things I want to tell you,
So I’m gonna do my best to smile as the tears start to flow.

Step by step… step by step…
Never stopping; never going back.
Surely, there’s no “goal” to be found,
But the only option we have is to run!

After, “On your mark… get set…”, I heard:

“Let’s meet again!”

No matter what kind of future awaits me,
I won’t leave you behind in the past-
I’ll never forget you!

En el punto de, “En sus marcas…listos…”
Imaginamos nuestros muchos ideales.
El disparo suena y empezamos la carrera –
El comienzo de este correr y correr.

Hasta ahora, como todo el mundo,
Hemos estado mirando hacia el futuro.
Pero tomándonos de las manos al tropezar,
Tuve la sensación que podíamos ir a donde quisiéramos.

Al llegar a una intersección, empezamos a correr por nuestra carrera personal…
Aunque en realidad todavía no estábamos preparados.

Desplazados por el paso del tiempo, ya estamos frente a esa línea blanca:
Hay un curso trazado para mí…y uno para ti,
¡Así que empieza a correr y no pierdas tu camino!

Habiéndonos desviado,
Me pregunto si de los extremos nacerá una flor.
Quiero verte florecer bellamente–
En ese tipo de cosas pensaba.

Sin saber cómo ponerlo en palabras, titubé;
El “adiós” aún está atorado en mi garganta.

Antes de que llegue el mañana, hay tantas cosas que quiero decirte;
Así que haré lo mejor para sonreír mientras caen las lágrimas.

Paso a paso…paso a paso…
Sin detenerse; sin volver atrás.
Seguramente no hay ninguna “meta” a encontrar,
¡Pero nuestra única opción es correr!

Después de, “En sus marcas…listos…”

Escuché, “¡Encontrémonos de nuevo!”

Sin importar qué futuro me espere,
No te dejaré atrás en el pasado –
¡Nunca te olvidaré!
