Being at the point of, “On your mark… get set…”
We imagine our various ideals.
The pistol goes off, and we start to dash –
The beginning of this Run and Run.

Up until now, we’d been looking at the future,
The same way as everyone else.
But by joining hands as we stumbled,
I got the feeling we could go anywhere we pleased!

When we reached a crossroads, we began running for nothing but our own personal race…
Even though we still weren’t really prepared for it.

Crowded out by the flow of time, we’re already standing before that white line:
There’s a course made for me alone… and one made for you,
So get running, and don’t lose your way!

Having branched off like we did,
I wonder if the ends will bud a flower.
I want to see you blooming beautifully-
Those were the kinds of things I thought about.

Unsure how to communicate it in words, my speech faltered;
The word “farewell” is still stuck at the back of my throat.

Before tomorrow comes, there are many things I want to tell you,
So I’m gonna do my best to smile as the tears start to flow.

Step by step… step by step…
Never stopping; never going back.
Surely, there’s no “goal” to be found,
But the only option we have is to run!

After, “On your mark… get set…”, I heard:

“Let’s meet again!”

No matter what kind of future awaits me,
I won’t leave you behind in the past-
I’ll never forget you!

位置について用意の今
それぞれの理想を描く
ピストルの合図がして走り出した
始まるランアンドラン

いままでは横並びで
同じように未来を見ていた
つまずけば手を取り合って
どこまでもゆける気がした

分かれ道　もう自分だけのレースをひた走る
僕たちはまだ心の準備すら出来ていないのにな

流れる時に押し出されて、もう白線の前だ
僕だけの、君だけのコースだ
迷わず走ってゆけ

枝分かれした僕らは
その先で花になれるかな
綺麗に咲いた君が見たいよ
僕はそんなこと考えてた

言葉ではどう伝えていいかわからず口ごもって
さよならはまだ喉の奥の方でつっかえている

明日が来る前に話したいことがたくさんあるんだ
涙流す時になるべく笑っていられるように

一歩一歩、また一歩一歩
止まることなく、戻ることもない
きっとゴールなんてありはしないさ
それでも僕ら走るしかないのさ

“位置について用意”の後に聞こえた

「また会おう」

これから僕を待つ未来がどんなものだとしても
君を過去に置き去りにはしない
いつだって忘れないよ
