Can you see a tree over there, proudly standing tall?
Sunbeams filtered through the leaves are swaying in the breeze
Since back in the day, I’ve yearned for a life with a strong will
Even through severe storms, rooting strongly into the ground…

Our forerunners enshrined this place and have waited for us
An anonymous nobody’s dream starts from here

And now, I have received the heavy responsibility in my arms
The beautiful history, the days of scars and bruises, everything
In this sanctuary, let us all make a vow Yes, now our turn has come
Until the day the next young and strong forces come
not a single one of us will move from here

I look up and see the night sky ablazed with stars
In the darkness, there are stars that can’t been seen from here

Even with the same effort, why do some flowers bloom and some don’t?
But Heaven is aware of the unrequited lives

The most important mission is, yes, that I am here as well
Which may make me realize the meaning and reason I was born into this world
I won’t move from here until the next generation comes

I am a guardian, a guardian of the cherry tree
I am proud to be chosen as one of them
Now, hand in hand, let’s assure ourselves

Someday I may find myself remembering the days spent here
Thanks to my peers I was always able to smile

私はマモリビトだ　櫻の木のマモリビト
その一人に選ばれて誇りに思う
