The wind that passes through the streets
Carries an unknown scent.
The loneliness piling up on the street corners
We hold hands and start a journey to the sky.
What awaits me beyond the sky, hidden by the clouds?
Surely
A world I don’t know spreads out there,
So I’ll aim for some place far away that’s different from here, where I dreamed on that day.
A rainbow bridge connects to tomorrow;
I keep my eyes on what lies beyond the night and run.
It feels like I’m about to be tripped up by yesterday,
But I won’t look behind me anymore.
The colors of twilight blurred by my tears,
The colors of myself, searching for the future.
If I open the door without fear,
Everyone will be waiting for me.
If I face forward and start walking,
The scenery passes by faster than it did yesterday.
I keep my eyes on what lies beyond the clouds,
And the shadows melt into the red sky.
Where is the scenery I don’t know hiding?
I wonder if it’s OK for me to believe that the answers I sought are there.
Before the small hope born on that day fades…
The colors I found in myself,
The colors I pretended not to notice.
I reach out my hands like I could chase after
The cracks in the clouds that seem like they’re about to cry.
I carry my wishes for tomorrow towards the sky,
The dreams overflowing from both hands.
Let’s grant those dreams together with everyone,
Turning towards our hopes,
To the twilight sky,
To the sky with the colors of tomorrow,
To the sky…
