In this sky I soar with you – let’s go far into the distance!

A vapor trail pointing the way to tomorrow… makes its way through a blue sky again today,
So much like your penetrating gaze.
I gripped your hand as you reached out – drops of emotion, coming in contact with one another,
Danced upon the water’s surface… as if decorating our dreams!

“C’mon, let’s go! I’m sure we can still…”
It’s overflowing in my heart, and just won’t stop-

–Yeah, I’m having so much fun!

Because you’re here- because I’m here with you,
I learned that this sky was so high and bright!
Where will we go next? I want to see that limitless tomorrow,
Beyond the light we see above!

I can’t even believe it’s the same sky –
The wind jostles my heart; the salt water in the air stings my eyes.
When I look down, my hunched over shadow looks so lonesome,
Gripping a tiny body that seems about to break.

“The truth is…”
In an instant, the wish I’d been keeping gently at bay came bursting free-

–but, I still want to fly!

Because you’re here- because I’m here with you,
My heart grew hot, announcing it didn’t want to admit defeat!
The clouds began to clear – I was shined upon powerfully from above,
Holding aloft a declaration… much like the sun!

–but, I’m having so much fun… I wanna fly right now!

Because you’re here- because I’m here with you,
I learned that this sky was so high and bright!
It’s so far, out of reach – but if that’s the case, I’ll just try again and again-

We were both looking up… so let’s go together-
