One day I heard a story that they make a huge ship to take off to the universe
It’s idle gossip. No one believes, but you are saying that we’ll look for that ship

You’ve been so optimistic that I’m impressed

I said and you answered,
‘It is at the furthest point of the world’s end.’ with unfounded confidence
The end lies on the top and we headed north
‘I would certainly find it’ you said in triumph
It’s a made-up story for only those who cling to dreams

But I only follow you because I can’t leave you alone, can I? I wonder if you understand
When it comes to living alone or fighting, you are clumsier than I am
I will teach you many things, like how to hunt beasts and sleep safely, let’s make our trip like that

Our journey became much harder that expected
It was the more so because you knew nothing about the world
Yet there were also many fun things when we were together

The world’s end is so far that our food ran out
A freezing cold place
Believing that the ship is still there, you tried to walk
But your feet no longer move

In truth, I might have learned many more things than you on this journey
Innocent heart filled with dreams, spirit believing in hope, unbeatable strength
I will continue the journey until the end of the world
I will find the ship in which you believed

今や世界は呪われたように退廃し生き物たちは滅んでゆく
ある日聞いた話　宇宙へ旅立つための大きな船を造っているらしい
よくある与太話　誰も信じやしない　でもきみはその船を探そうと言うんだ

昔から楽観的でよくぞまあ今日まで生きてこれたものだと感心する
でも手がかりも何もない
そう言うときみは
｢一番遠い世界の果てにある｣
根拠のない自信で答えてみせた
果ては一番上と北を目指した
必ず見つけだすときみは意気揚々と語った
夢にすがりたいだけの人の作り話なのに

でもきみをひとりにしておけないからついていくだけだよ？ わかってるかな
ひとりで生きていくことも戦うこともぼくより不器用なきみだから
いろいろ教えるよ　獣の狩り方や　安全な眠り方　そういう旅にしよう

予想以上に旅は厳しいものになった
世間知らずなきみにとってはなおさらだった
でもふたりなら楽しいこともたくさんあった
毎晩きみが語る夢にも笑っちゃうんだ

世界の果ては遠く食料も尽きた
凍える厳寒の地
きみはまだ船があると信じて歩き出そうとした
