The moon witnessed
Our incomplete cycles.
We called to one another,
Walking distant paths
As we walked
The long way around.
Red and black attract one another…
Shadow and light chase after one another…
They’re made up
Of two related things
…everything in this world is.
Because you’re here, I’m here.
Even apart, we’re side by side.
(We’re side by side.)
Everyone is continually searching
For one precious thing
That they can call
Their other half.
“I can’t do anything without someone’s help.”
That’s what you believe, though you’ve yet to notice.
But you too
Are surely
Helping someone else.
Life and death resonate with one another…
The water and Earth are illuminated by one another…
Reflected
By two opposing things
…is the scenery of this world.
Because you go, I’ll go.
Without hesitation, I’ll face forward.
(I’ll face forward.)
No one really knows
Their natural selves.
But they can meet someone
Who teaches them all about it.
Just like the dark side of the moon…
From the surface of the Earth,
There’s no way for us to see
The other half of our hearts. (The sorrow…)
Someday I hope you’ll lay bare (…in our hearts)
The tears you cry,
Even the sorrow you feel!
Because you’re here, I’m here.
Even apart, we’re side by side.
(We’re side by side.)
Everyone is continually searching
For one precious thing
That they can call
Their other half.
