I’m always full of expectations, always looking outward
I prefer doing music rather than just listening to it
But to be more precise, I’m better at singing than playing instruments
I just want to show you, that’s all
The wall calendar starts on Monday for us
We fill it with plans for fun things, leaving out the boring stuff
We’re in the sunny spot, exhausted from playing, rolling with laughter
If I’m wrapped in kindness, ah, it just spills out
Let’s do lots of things that make us so happy we want to cry, so much fun stuff
There are things that are inevitable, trivial, and empty, but
I love it, there’s nothing wrong with liking what you like
I want to make that kind of thing normal in this world
The noise of car horns makes the hair on my arms stand on end
I get shut down head-on and end up closing my mouth
But from the gap in the skirt that has a deep slit,
Scars are peeking in and out, wanting to rampage
We run away with all our might from boring shoes
There are too many choices, so we end up tightening the noose around our own necks
We convinced ourselves it’s just killing time, that life is just that, as we sat in the darkness
If we looked up at the night sky and counted the stars, ah, it just spills out
Let’s forgive ourselves sometimes
For hesitating, pretending, and trying so hard,
There’s nothing wrong with it
You can see it on top of everyone, white paper snowflakes
The sunset dyed in purple, I wonder how many more times I’ll see it
I hope that girl’s smiling face doesn’t disappear, I hope it doesn’t disappear
The self I’ve been searching for wasn’t there from the beginning
Just as it is, just as it is
Let’s do lots of things that make us so happy we want to cry, so much fun stuff
There are things that are inevitable, trivial, and empty, but
I love it, there’s nothing wrong with liking what you like
I want to make that kind of thing normal in this world
I want to make it happen
It just spills out
It just spills out
It just spills out
