If I reached out my hand,
Could I even reach that moon swimming in the night sky?

I tried touching it; it was just so warm…
I was drawn in bit by bit.

With my increasing footsteps, the scenery from my window
Flows on by, expressionless,
As it spills from my hands.

It swayed to and fro – I never knew
Until I touched it with my own two hands.
I want to gather all the things scattered beneath this waning moon,
And confirm what I know about each one… every little thing!

If I stretch out my hand,
Could I even reach those silently sleeping clouds?

That chilled sky is so tender;
I feel myself relaxing more and more.

When I took out my bookmark, they flowed forth-
Scars that built up over time-
But it protected me with both its hands.

I watched it sway to and fro – I tried to catch it;
It was more beautiful than I’d originally thought.
I suddenly wished to tell someone about it,
But that new moon was already changing shape… until that night comes again.

How long have I thought I knew all there was to know?
I must have only been believing
Mere figments of my imagination…

手を伸ばせば届くの

そっと触れてみた　温かくて
じんわり吸い込まれた

増えてく足跡　窓から見る景色も
無表情に流れながら
両手からこぼれていく

ゆらゆら揺れてた　知らずにいた
この手で触れてみるまで
欠けた月の下　散らばったモノ
拾い集めて確かめたい　その全てを

静かに眠る雲だって
手を伸ばせば届くの

冷たかった空　柔らかくて
心地よくなっていく

栞をはずして　めくるたび流れてく
時間(とき)の中で　増えた傷を
両手で塞いでくれた

ゆらゆら眺めた　掴んでみた
思っていたより綺麗で
誰かに伝えたくなったけれど
三日月が形を変えてく　その夜まで

いつから　全てを分かっているつもりで
創り出した想像だけ
信じてきていたんだろう
