When I close my eyes, I can hear
The rustling, the colors of young birds
At the speed watercolor spreads,
I swallowed up a small yet vast world.
With each pair of shoes we outgrew,
We grew up a little more
Though the end of the mysterious slope
Is still out of sight.
The laughing of the jingling bells mixes with the clear wind and voices
Connecting happiness in a gradient
Shining like magic
Escaping from the daily hustle
In the shining silence, a momentary piece
If I lock it in a treasure chest, then
I won’t let go, I’ll carry it with me forever.
The more dreamlike, miraculous the moment,
The quicker it flies away
Flapping its wings, it disappears.
With each pair of shoes we outgrew,
We came to know the world a little better
Looking back, next to our footprints,
The seeds we dropped were sprouting.
Did someone, someday, also name the ‘tone’?
Did they hear the same colors as me?
Sometimes, I feel like crying
“I want these days to continue.”
I find myself wishing.
La la la, the canary sings
Mixing with the clear wind and voices
Connecting happiness in a gradient
Laughing, crying, waking up, then again
Escaping from the daily hustle
In the shining silence, a momentary piece
If I lock it in a treasure chest,
At the end of our connected hands, the bell laughs again.
