The news you bring is, “My child was just born!”
Even if we’re far apart, we’ve lived through this same age
Where no matter the time, we can share even our happiness and sadness.

From the newspapers and TV, we hear of sad events in far off cities.
It pains our hearts as we try to avoid it each day.

Being born in such a busy day and age,
We sing that, “Today is a wonderful day”,
We spend the time until tomorrow looking on idly,
As trains carry us to pre-determined destinations.

Tiny screens glitter in the palms of our hands.
Who’s that guy with the round face?
Each of us is standing next to a stranger,
Clinging to our own tiny lives.

I have things to report as well.
I send them back upon the wind that carried that familiar voice:
I’ve grown again as an adult.
I’m now together with someone precious to me.
