On a night I was looking up,
At the bubbles of days that float up and disappear,
The Milky Way that blurred into my view,
Looked so unsteady, really quite the wonder.

This isn’t something I can really walk to anyone about,
So I’ll try giving a god a call and asking him.

If today were to be,
Not tomorrow, but yesterday,
Tomorrow would be today, and yesterday, the day before.
Come on over, day before: I’m waiting;
My boat is docked at the ready.
If today wasn’t even today,
But that day instead… ahh, it’d be so nice!

Was a city of light, so beautiful.
