This pole in my back hurts
From just being spun round and round
I can’t even tell anyone
That I’m tired of staring at your behind
I want to know what comes after the sky
I want to see what lies beyond the clouds
Even though I don’t even have the courage to run away
Merry go round, wavering, spinning in place
Onto my injured back—
—a traveler jumped, gripping the reins tightly
and whispered
“You probably won’t survive much longer once I pull out this pole
Even so, do you want me to do it?”
Merry go round, sighing, cycling from place to place
My rusted feelings only get in my way
Merry go round, realizing it, I stood frozen still
My mane fluttering in the wind… I won’t hesitate any longer!
I want to know what’s at the rainbow’s end
I want to see my dream’s conclusion with my own two eyes
‘Cause there’s nothing holding me back any more!
Merry go round, racing, cutting through the wind
Flapping, freely flying around
Merry go round, spinning, finally arriving
Crouching within the starry sky, melting into the dawn… I have no regrets!
