You looked vacantly at the sky—
I wonder if you still remember:
The seasons that we watched pass by, steeped in uncertain feelings.
If that memory can at least become a fragment in the corner of your heart,
I hope the smile you had then can remain in its proper place.
If this time is going to continue passing,
And I can remain here with you,
I get the feeling we’ll see worlds we’ve never seen before someday.
If these words can someday be communicated, then in order to keep them from falling into the sky,
Let’s take those memories we left hidden somewhere…
And store them in our treasure chest.
At twilight, I had a dream;
A dream I don’t wish for any longer.
I try to keep from leaving these transforming sensations behind…
If there are still worries we’ve yet to see, we need only stop in our tracks.
That heart of yours can simply remain in the place it belongs.
Using our voices to connect, we’ll send out our wish;
Even if we’re not very good, we’ll take it bit by bit—
Believing that the feelings we pictured, and our tomorrow, can someday become one.
Those words will surely reach their destination! So, in order to keep them from melting into the sky, only to be forgotten,
We’ll remember their voices— their colors… So, in order to keep them from fading away,
We’ll store them in our treasure chest.
Embracing even that day I wanted to be left alone,
Wishing I could just disappear…
Embracing even my memories stained in sadness… softly…
I’ll resume writing my future.
You, laughing at me
As I fall hopelessly into the sky…
Things I’d left behind, now that I’m gone…
Things you’d said, now that you’re gone…
If this time will someday disappear,
But I can remain here with you,
Then I get the feeling we’ll see worlds we’ve never seen before.
I’m sure we’ll go on to deliver those words! So, in order to never lose our hold on them again,
Let’s take everything that lies in these newly budding hearts,
And store them in our treasure chest.
