thank for unvarel’s lyric. really interesting
good job
Thank you so much :D
Can you do a mandarin version? *-*
Updated! Hope it helps!
don’t see why not ^^ I doubt I’ll be recording anytime soon. maybe they can even solve the problem I ran into =o (though idk how their translation abilities are if they asked you to do it for them lol)
basically the biggest issue is that it’s a balancing act. you’re putting original meaning vs. literality vs. english transcription vs. english poetic/sonorous diction and writing conventions, including rhyme, all in a cage match to see which you favour. I tend to prefer emphasizing original language meaning and will leave things fairly abstract if it helps me get a better rhyme/flow. I’ve only done this a couple of times though lol – that’s likely got a lot to do with my regular songwriting style, which tends towards the abstract as well
Nicely put! It is something I would like to try eventually.
I’ll send him this way and see if he has any input :p
Really interesting! I like the detail as it gets further in!
Having not tried yet to write a dub, I’m unfamiliar with the challenges and what the outcome would sound like :p
If you end up singing it, send me a link! (*^^)v
Also, would you mind if I sent this to the aforementioned gentleman who was looking for cover lyrics? I doubt I’ll have time to make my own, so he might be rather pleased~
absolutely gorgeous song. honestly tempted to do an eng cover (something I pretty much never aspire to) even though my voice is completely different from his :x
It’s funny that this song seems to have that effect on people lol
I talked with another fan briefly about writing an English cover for him to sing, but I’ve unfortunately not had the time.
Updated 8/25 to match aforementioned change to posted official lyrics.
Sorry for the inconsistency – read again for a new experience and double your fun~
Great lyrics! Only problem is on the second line, in between ‘kowareta kowareta’ it sounds like there’s a ‘ko’ or something. I don’t know very much Japanese, and I’m going off of what I hear when I listen, but there’s DEFINITELY something there.
Thanks for the comment!
This is actually just from the way he is pronouncing the words, as the two “kowareta” are emphasized differently.
