Sometimes I see a heartless dream,
With all my concerns dripping down,
Pooling up under my defeated heart,
Until eventually, it all falls apart.

I’m led by the slightest sense of words,
As my surroundings quietly come into view.
My actions are crude,
But I can feel it;
This moment will stay with me forever.

A night free of lies carries on,
With the two of us here.
It’s beautiful and oh so fragile.
Our breaths are overlapping,
The two of us, here;
But we don’t turn to one another,
Held by the moment.
I want to keep hold of this moment,
This light,
For just a little longer.
