Below this great tree, verdant with greenery
Are roots that stretch just as far, or even farther
Always firmly supporting it from below the soil
Looking back, for us as well
We’re connected to countless tomorrows
Back through our father, mother, even farther to our roots
Without knowing it, the spirals of our genes
Were carved with a multitude of hopes
Blaming it on others, we were always looking away
And the light we sought grew more distant
Let’s take another step forward—We’ll go to meet out yet-unseen selves
Climb over the wall of impossibility
We can hear a song hummed, somewhere
The sights seen in the days of our youth are suddenly reborn
Vast in the evening sky, the warmth of a hand
And in the drawer of forgotten memories
Those sepia feelings are shut away
Everyone has their own precious hymn
Ringing forever in their huddled hearts
If you ever are about to fall, then we want to hold you up with our voices
However many times it takes, so you can walk forward
Wow oh… Everyone’s lost
Wow oh…
This dream to the skies, this body to the earth
One day, they’ll return to whence they came
What sort of future
Can we leave to you?
Our life, now ignited, can reach all the way
The light we’ve been given will continue unbroken
Take that step forward—We have unlimited room to grow
Climb over the wall of impossibility
