I’m building up
Then tearing back down
The place where my own two feet stand
Hating it
Learning to love it
As I praise the scenery before me
I was always bothered by the most insignificant things
Despite the fact that they changed nothing
But running is out of the question
After all, there’s nowhere else to run
I used to overestimate my own value
Spending my days looking up at the sky
From the square window of the station building
The sunset occasionally peers through
As if in admiration
As if giving praise
It shined its light upon my face
Even if there are other futures and possibilities
That remain available to me
I feel that who I am now
Carries much more value
That’s right, no one is really alone
Even I am just one tiny gear
And right now, through someone else’s dream
I can make my own dream shine brighter
I’m building up
Then tearing back down
The place where my own two feet stand
Cursing it
Learning to love it
As I praise the scenery before me
Nobody is really alone
Surely, we’re all connected somehow
All the tiny gears that keep this world moving
Nobody is really alone
That’s why we collide with one another
So tiny as we struggle against this world
Yes, just tiny little gears
I’m building up
Then tearing back down
The place where my own two feet stand
Loathing it
Learning to love it
I want to praise the scenery before me
