It’s not in my nature to laugh, so I’m simply listening carefully,
Resting my chin on my hands, to the afternoon hustle and bustle.
The sounds make their way closer, then fade to nothing,
I’ve observed so many people, like waves piling upon one another.
If their sounds can reach me, even in the slightest, I can make up a reason to stay here,
It’s raining outside and I’m in a classroom, writing a song.

Laugh, scream with tears in your eyes; move on, everyone,
I’ll sing now for that purpose.
Laugh beautifully, like you’re having fun; there’s nothing that comes after.
It has already cleared up outside, but I’m staying here.

I’ve grown more and more used to these days,
Charging forward together and having everyone laugh when I stumble.
It’s been unbearably average and living so recklessly,
Has really tired me out; I wish I could rest forever.
It wouldn’t be so bad if it stays like this,
But at this rate I won’t accomplish anything.
I’d like to show everyone that I can make my life meaningful.

Laugh, scream with tears in your eyes; I’ll move on as well,
I’m screaming right now for that purpose.
In what way should I pour out my emotions, that I may disappear from here,
In what way should I offer forgiveness, that I may come to love those days.

“I think I can become stronger… as long as we’re together”,
But those words are weak; really, everyone is alone.
The wind that blows through autumn is truly painful,
I’d started to walk onward, but now my feet won’t respond.
I yearn for the strength to not say “thank you”,
I’ll someday master the art of walking on without saying a word.
I’ll take the first step now, and to all the souls in the world,
I’ll wish God’s blessing. God bless you.

I simply stood alone, in place.
I cried just a bit more, by myself, then laughed a bit,
As I moved on to a future apart from those days.
