The town in June, rain had begun to fall
The little sunflower in the gap between the buildings
Wetting the tightly shut bud, standing still in silence
In midst of the unending rain alone
I who stood still as well, one day
Reaching towards the grey clouds
I wonder if I will ever be able to see the blue sky
The sky I dreamed of is still so far far out of reach
Not that it will wait for me to pursue my dreams
As long as I can continue to progress a little bit further than today, then surely
I will reach them at last, believing so I start walking once anew
Towards the place on which the summer’s rays shine
Black footsteps on the asphalt
A chick perched on a tree branch
Without stopping when I went past
An unfamiliar scenery
In the middle of the rain I came across you
You walked along my side
That I’m not alone, that we could support another
You made me realize that didn’t you
On that day you told me “It’s fine if you continue like that”
And encouraged the bewildered me
Thank you, no matter how many times I tell you it’ll never be enough, no
Even when I can’t see you do I want to be close at your side more than anyone
So that our strong bond never withers
Ah, my voice, I wonder if even you can still hear it
Despite going separate ways, counting the seasons all the while
Those smiles have become a special story
I will never forget them
The sky I looked up to was blue everywhere, blue
Gently wrapped up in the wet town
Like a still budding sunflower in June
Swaying in the wind with a smile
The sky I dreamed of is even now far far away
Not that it will wait for me to pursue my dreams
Lke a sunflower bathing in the summer sun
Until the day I bloom I will continue to walk
Until those feelings I kept to myself bloom
Until they bloom
Until they bloom
