Half-asleep voices,
Resound softly in this room.
But whenever you wake up,
You see my bed-head, and can’t help but laugh.
Breathing in the clear morning air,
I laid down beside you again.
The way we laugh about pointless things…
The way we feel everything is so irreplaceable…
The way we sometimes hurt each other for stupid reasons…
Among these plain, unassuming days,
We’ve shared so many things together;
When I suddenly look at you, always by my side,
I think of how happy I am.
I surrender myself to the flow,
Of this quietly departing time.
As we discuss inconsequential things,
You’re brewing some bitter coffee.
Bathing in the clear morning light,
We ate breakfast like we always do.
The way we laugh about pointless things…
The way we feel everything is so irreplaceable…
The way we sometimes hurt each other for stupid reasons…
Among these plain, unassuming days,
We’ve shared so many things together;
When I suddenly look at you, always by my side,
I think of how happy I am.
